📦 Shipping to the USA – Important Update

Effective August 26, 2025, CTT is temporarily suspending parcel transport to the USA due to recent changes in U.S. import regulations ending the de minimis regime.

We expect this to be a temporary measure while carriers and authorities adapt to the new requirements. We will update this page as soon as normal service resumes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the “de minimis” regime?

The de minimis regime allowed shipments valued under $800 to enter the USA without customs duties or tariffs. With its removal, more imports into the USA may be subject to tariffs and customs clearance.

Does this affect customers in the EU buying from the USA?

No — this change applies to imports into the USA. For EU customers ordering from the USA:

  • VAT (IVA) is charged on all imports, regardless of value.
  • Customs duties may apply on goods over €150, depending on the product category.
When will shipping to the USA resume?

We can’t confirm an exact date yet. The suspension is temporary while processes are clarified. This page will be updated as soon as we have a confirmed timeline.
