One of the crates that "fell off the back of the truck" holds something special. Something the corporation moved on from long ago, but Marcus managed to keep it safe. Unlike his barrels, this particular crate contains pristine, untouched bananas that have been kept in stasis since the corporation abandoned its research and extraction efforts.
Marcus, always the resourceful engineer, built a containment unit to keep the bananas intact, halting their natural decay into airborne spores. They remain pure, untainted, and highly potent. They are a preserved remnant from a time when the corporation explored their potential, only to abandon them as too unstable and impossible to control.
When Marcus really wants to unwind after a long day's work, he cracks open the chamber. The moment the seal hisses, a faint shimmer of spores dances in the air, carrying with it an intoxicating aroma, sweet and earthy, laced with something indescribable.
A deep, deliberate inhale straight from the stasis crate sends Marcus spiraling into a vivid, euphoric trance. Unlike the remnants in his barrels, this is the raw experience, the real deal. For a time, the world around him melts away, reality shifts, and his mind is free to wander the boundless corridors of possibility. It's in these moments, floating between consciousness and hallucination that some of his most brilliant creations are conceived.
